When I was in the 9th grade my great desire was to play baseball in the summer American Legion Baseball League in my home town of Wichita, Kansas. I bought a new first base glove and cleats and went to a number of team tryouts. One team after another said I wasn’t good enough to play. As you can guess, I went home quite dejected.
The next day I decided to do something to accomplish my goal. I left home in the early morning and caught a bus to downtown Wichita. I went through office buildings calling on companies asking them to sponsor a baseball team. Finally, after more than a dozen stops I entered the office of Virginia Drilling Company and left with a line of credit at the Gateway Sporting Goods that was sufficient to buy uniforms, baseballs and bats. The Virginia Drilling baseball team was born. Gathering others who had been rejected we entered the league and had a wonderful summer.
I had a sponsor and eligible players. Our team respected and abided by the American Legion rules of sports etiquette and good conduct. We played our hearts out and we played by the rules.
Part of a Team
Independent Representatives are also part of a team. Just as in the baseball league, there are rules to be followed. If a Representative does not play by the rules, ACN and other Independent Representatives are harmed.
If one is to obey the rules they, of course, must know what they are. That is why each Independent Representative agrees to abide by the terms in the agreement they have signed and the ACN Policies and Procedures.
No Excuses for Violations
The ACN rules of conduct are clear. There are no excuses for violations of rules or laws. ACN has a no-tolerance policy if a customer is slammed and therefore such action results in deactivation. Telemarketing including the use of auto-dialers is prohibited. Guarantees of income to potential recruits are prohibited. Other prohibitions include: making false or misleading representations of any kind; engaging in “cold marketing” for customers which includes mass advertising, purchased leads, trade show participation, door-to-door selling and pamphlet distribution; the purchase or sale of customers at anytime; the offering of cash or monetary/promotions/prizes or bonuses to downline, upline or customers. A violation of any federal, state, or local laws or regulations will result in suspension or deactivation.
Just as in little league baseball – play the game but play by the rules. You must be aware of the ACN Rules because if they are violated the umpire will call strike three – You’re out!
